Statistics

Statistics is a science about data collection, data organization, data presentation, data analysis and data interpretation to provide a basis for effective decisions.

The most common form of statistics is numerical data (values or percent). Statistics can be presented graphically as well as in words or numbers. Statistical surveys always begins with data collection, the collected data is then organized and presented.

With organized data, we can analyze and interpret the collected data. We need to learn statistical methods to understand statistical information and to critically evaluate statistical information. We also need to learn statistics in order to take informed decisions in business and in personal life. Knowledge of statistics helps us to understand why certain decisions are made and how these decisions will affect us or our company.
