Random variables | Statistics

Random variables are measurements that results from an experiment which takes values depending on chance. In all experiments in which probabilities are involved, the outcomes occur randomly.

Random variables may be the value of the dice, the weight of steel, the value of a coin throwing and absence due to illness. Random variables assumes values based on chance, all possible values can be assumed even though some values may be more likely than others.

Random variables can be discrete random variables or continuous random variables.
