The central value for a class is the value that represents the average for the class. The central value for a class is calculated as the upper class limit plus the lower class limit divided in two.
The central value for a class represents the typical value for the class. Example:
Class range: 1000 to 1999
Class central value: (1000 + 1999) / 2 = 1 499.5 (1 500)
