Convertible bonds

Convertible bonds are a hybrid between bonds (fixed income securities) and equity options. Convertible bonds are issued by companies.

Convertible bonds provide income in the form of interest and gives its holder a right to subscribe for shares in the company in the future. Convertible bonds are interesting securities because they combine fixed income with a chance of higher returns.
